The CH-Model is our second model in the Iris Guitar Company line-up. Named for Cory Hollenhorst, the customer who helped dream up this unique design, the guitar is based on the body shape of our Circle Strings tenor guitar and pays homage to the classic 0-17 model with its simple appointments.
European spruce top, mahogany back and sides, with a familiar 1 3/4" nut on a comfy low-profile neck. Saddle spacing is 2 5/32" at the bridge. Just over 13 1/2" inches across the lower bout, and just about 38" overall, it's easy to tote around. Being a long 25.4" scale, the guitar has a surprising amount of volume and projection. The body design puts the bridge right in the center of the lower bout, similar to where it would be on a typical Martin or Gibson 12-fret model, so the bass response is increased. “Believe us, when you play this guitar, you can feel it moving!" say the guys at Acoustic Music Works.
All instruments from the Old Town School Music Store are professionally inspected and set-up before shipping, and directly support our missions, programs, and continued growth.
