Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue Left-handed Semi-Hollow 1988 Cherry w/Original Hard Case

This remarkably gently aged and notably rare 1988 Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue Lefty-Handed is a southpaw strummer's genuine chance to grab the undisputed cornerstone of the Gibson ES line-up. From its inaugural appearance in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 set an unmatched standard. Low, even action across a pearloid dot inlay rosewood fingerboard on a hand-rolled Medium "C" mahogany neck remind players where it all started. Gibson's '57 Classic humbucker pickups are paired with the smooth, quiet response of a hand-wired control assembly. The result is that versatile Gibson ES tone that players have craved for over 60 years. Tuning stability and precise intonation are provided by original Grover tuners with kidney buttons, paired with a rock solid Gibson Tune-O-Matic Bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece, and beautifully oxidized nickel hardware.

This 1988 Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue Left-handed is in Excellent condition, part of a single-owner, climate controlled collection, with extremely light surface wear (pictured) consistent with age and occasional home use, including a notable finish blemish behind 9th fret (pictured), likely from sitting in a stand too long. Missing two bass-side screws in bridge pickup ring. Nut professionally replaced at some point in this instrument's life, original nut included. Includes original pink-lined Gibson case.

All instruments from the Old Town School Music Store are professionally inspected and set-up before shipping, and directly support the missions, programs, and continued growth of the Old Town School of Folk Music.
