The soundboard of the Blue SW is made from high-grade Sitka spruce. The back and sides feature high-quality black walnut. Open-Pore Finish leaves wood pores exposed, which preserves the natural acoustic properties of tonewoods. This combination of high-quality solid tonewoods and proprietary finish produces a beautiful musical sound across the entire tonal range, with balanced midrange frequencies.
The premium nature of the Blue SW is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Blue SW has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
A nine-string guitar delivers a highly balanced blend of the treble and bass strings. The high E and B strings are doubled by strings with the same gauge, and the wound G string is doubled by a plain string tuned an octave higher. The doubled strings produce a rich sound. In contrast, the D, A, and low E strings are single, and their sound is focused. This combination makes the nine-string guitar an indispensable workhorse, especially suited for solo stage performances or get-togethers with friends.
A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.
