Far and away the most remarkably gently aged example of a golden era, '66 Fender we've ever encountered here at the Old Town School, this 1966 Fender Jaguar absolutely shines in its original Custom Color Lake Placid Blue finish, with a classic matching headstock. Original components, electronics, and hardware are all present, with low, even action across a dot-inlaid, bound rosewood fingerboard, and fully functional switching between lead and rhythm circuits. From the instantly recognizable balance and saturated chime of its original twin shielded single-coil pickups, to the inimitable spring-loaded "wiggle" of its original vibrato, this time capsule of a '66 Jaguar is ready to stretch its legs.

This 1966 Fender Jaguar is in Excellent condition, part of a single-owner, climate controlled collection, with extremely light surface wear (pictured in detail) consistent with nearly 60 year age and occasional home use. Original Fender mute is still present on bridge, but pad surface has long since deteriorated—can be easily replaced at player's convenience. One treble-side screw securing vibrato assembly is non-original but quite old (pictured), likely replaced during servicing at some point early in this instrument's life. Appropriate light fret wear at treble side in lower registers (pictured) is present, but frets are fully playable, with plenty of life. Original pots are all fully functional, but because this instrument was used only infrequently for the last several decades, minor static "clicks" are still inconsistently present when turning knobs, even after a bath in contact cleaner. No hum is present, and any static will dissipate completely with more consistent use and clearing of any remaining dust/particles. Includes MONO semi-hollow padded gig bag. Does not include original case or paper materials. Includes original bridge cover and tremolo arm.
