The crisp, articulate balance of a lovingly aged solid spruce top pairs with resonant solid birch back and sides to lend this early 1960s Harmony-made Silvertone "Classic Guitar" classical acoustic a mellow, round, warm tone ideal for fingerpicking, lush chording, or subtle studio work, while a gentle "V" shaped neck inspires confidence for players of any level. With a refined, minimal look and vintage department store tone for miles, this Silvertone's got some stories left to tell!Notes:
This Early 1960s Silvertone (Harmony) USA "Classic Guitar" classical acoustic is in Very Good condition, with light visible wear consistent with age and appropriate home use, including a few small minor dings, and what appears to be paper residue bound to the back of the instrument, likely from a previous chipboard case (pictured). Neck was reset at some point in this instrument's life for low, easy action in the 1st-7th frets, reset is clean and professionally evaluated as stable, but a tiny gap is visible at heel (pictured). Includes era-correct chipboard case.
All instruments from the Old Town School Music Store are professionally inspected and set-up before shipping, and directly support our missions, programs, and continued growth.
